Everyone needs to be at the bottom car park at 6.45. Bring cakes. If you have forgotten what the BBC is, go to www.bbc.co.uk
The Editing Suite will be open every weekday apart from Mon 9th. There will be no technical support until Mon 16th. If you have no idea how to use the machines, print out my page called How to Edit from the page list on the right hand side.
You need to save all your captures (clips). Don’t delete them when you have finished your project. Your project won’t open if it can’t find the captures. However, if there are hundreds of captures that you have not used, delete these to save space. You should burn your films on to DVDs as soon as they are finished. Alice Day has the blank DVDs.
You should have all captured your film, but Cameras are available from 5th-13th and from 13th-19th and 19th-23rd. In other words, I will be in the library on the 13th and 19th from 10-12 to receive cameras and then pass them on. Keep an eye on the blog in case these dates change. Also, don’t blame me if students fail to return equipment and there are no cameras to pick up. Everyone needs to cooperate to make this work.
The deadlines for all work (film/report/pre-production) is:
Yr 11 Friday April 27
Yr 12 Monday April 30
These are real deadlines. Don’t screw up.

Well done to all the deal or no dealers. Look out for some serious box opening on July 1st.
Here’s a couple of things about old big foot:

I have provisionally booked a tour of the BBC on May 3rd. I booked an early session so that we would have a very full day and would be able to do something interesting after the tour. It only lasts 90-120 minutes so I don’t want to take everyone up to London for a couple of hours and then have to turn back again.
However, the current booking means that we would have to leave by 7am. If that is going to be impossible for anyone, I can try to rearrange a later slot. Can you let me know asap - please. I want to take all 29 of you.
2. It appears that I can apply for 9 audience tickets for ‘Deal or No Deal’ in Bristol for a day in the following filming blocks:
05/02-09/02
26/02-02/03
Now, assuming that I go with you, I have to choose 8 students. I have to give the names of everyone in my application so we need to move quickly.
So, if you would like to go, and you are over 18 - don’t lie as I will check with our school office and with the Downfield office - let me know asap. I will have to put the names in a hat at break-time on Friday (2nd).
3. If you are seriously interested in going to Yorkshire to the National Museum of Film and Television on April 25th (with probable overnight stay in Youth Hostel, let me know).
