I have a beautiful new document which outline everything you need for the coursework. I have improved the old document by adding material about Ms Winfield’s coursework and by having internal hyperlinks so you can find all you need. Check it out.
I have also attached the document which tells you what you your marks and what you need to do to improve your existing coursework.11-media-marks.doc

Adamedia has been asleep for a little while because I have been exploring how the school’s web plans might impact on my own site. I have now revamped the site and it is back, better than ever. The new look includes music, video, photos.
The first column has the blog. The second column helps you find the stuff you need. When you click on a link,it will appear in the first column. The 3rd column has other relevant media content. The 4th column is fun things. Please let me have any comments and suggestions.

have now finished putting all the revision material on the blog. There will be no more. Everything is there: past paPers, essay advice, case studies, links etcI have worked like crazy on these so the least you can do is read the bloody things.
I have tidied everything up so all the Press pages begin with ;13 Press’ and the broadcasting begin with ’13 Broadcasting’. That means that they are easy to find on the right hand side bar at http://adamrobbins.edublogs.org It also means that some of the names have changed and some of the links from old emails may not work any more.
IMPORTANT: Just to warn you that Edublogs say they are doing some server maintenance over the weekend and there may be some disruption. If I was you, I would try to print a lot of this off before the weekend.
I am happy to take a look at any essays that you send me.
Good luck

I have worked like crazy to create the wold’s best revision to ‘Contemporary Broadcasting’. Please use it. http://adamrobbins.edublogs.org/13-public-service-broadcasting-british-tv/
I will add a few more detailed things about essay plans by the end of the week, but this should be more than enough to be getting on with. PLease note that the links are really there if you feel curious and what to explore more. The doc should be enough on its own without the links. It’s 13 pages!
I have marked some essays for people and will talk you about those in lessons this week.

Dear All,
I am sure you are cracking on with revision.
1. Just to confirm that there are only a few revision sessions left:
Wed 6th p3&4 Broadcasting
Tues 12th p5&6 Press
Weds 13th 3&4 Press
Please try to attend. We are going over some essays. If you can’t manage to attend, please collect a set of past papers (And exam board guidance on how to approach them). This will be crucial.
2. I have put some things on the blog that should be very useful. You need to be sure about the legislative framework since 1990. To help you with this, I have written 3 ‘all you need to know’ guides. They borrow fairly heavily from some of the handouts you have already got, but they are a one stop summary of the 3 acts:
They are all pages on the blog. You can link straight through to them here:
13 Broadcasting Act 1990
13 Broadcasting Act 1996
13 Communications Act 2003
I will be putting plenty more up over the next week or so, so keep looking.
Don’t forget that there is a page on Press Regulation at 13 Freedom of the Press
4. There still seems to be a bit of confusion about the exam. The good news is that ywe have covered 3 topics (Press, Film Genre, Broadcasting) you have 2 choices for each topic and you only need to write 2 essays. That means you have 2 essays from a choice of 6. This is the new format for the exam and there is only one past paper in this format (Jan 2007). The other past papers feature the old format. To look at the new format and see what an actual exam paper looks like, click here. You could even practise writing some essays. I will happily mark them
5. I have marked some press essays and these are ready to be collected.

I have created a new page  http://adamrobbins.edublogs.org/12-new-media-essays/ which has some last minute advice on how to prepare for the essay question. As I have said to many of you before, I think the best revision would be to spend one and a half hour hours writing the three practice essays that I summarise for you on the page. If you want to send any of them to me, I would gladly look at them. I have marked your old attempts at past papers. If you want to pick them up, they are all in a wallet folder attached to the wall outside my office in the 6th form common room. Please e-mail me/see me if you any questions. A
