Dear All,

I am sure you are cracking on with revision.

1. Just to confirm that there are only a few revision sessions left:

Wed 6th p3&4 Broadcasting

Tues 12th p5&6 Press

Weds 13th 3&4 Press

Please try to attend. We are going over some essays. If you can’t manage to attend, please collect a set of past papers (And exam board guidance on how to approach them). This will be crucial.

2. I have put some things on the blog that should be very useful. You need to be sure about the legislative framework since 1990. To help you with this, I have written 3 ‘all you need to know’ guides. They borrow fairly heavily from some of the handouts you have already got, but they are a one stop summary of the 3 acts:

4. There still seems to be a bit of confusion about the exam. The good news is that ywe have covered 3 topics (Press, Film Genre, Broadcasting) you have 2 choices for each topic and you only need to write 2 essays. That means you have 2 essays from a choice of 6. This is the new format for the exam and there is only one past paper in this format (Jan 2007). The other past papers feature the old format.
